WHEN it comes to value for money EVs, the new Citroën ë-C3 is top of the class according to an authoritative electric vehicle publication.
The battery-powered supermini has been named Best Value Electric Car at the 2025 DrivingElectric Awards and this latest accolade comes on top of multiple wins for the ë-C3, including Car of the Year and Affordable Electric Car of the Year at the 2024 Auto Express New Car Awards as well as Best Small Electric Car at the 2025 CarBuyer Awards.
The DrivingElectric Awards recognise the very best new electric cars and vans on the market. Judges tested the latest EV products available, and those yet to launch, selecting products that stood out from the crowd and set new standards in the market.
The judges praised the accessible price of ë-C3, which costs from £21,990, and its' impressive levels of comfort, functionality and practicality.
Paul Barker, editor of DrivingElectric, said: "New Citroën ë-C3 isn't groundbreaking; it's just a refreshingly simple and well-equipped electric car that won't cost you a fortune. What's not to like?"
The ë-C3 is the first European-designed and built, all-electric compact hatchback and comes with an 83kW (113hp) electric motor, automatic transmission, and a range of up to 199 miles.
Greg Taylor, managing director of Citroën UK, says: "We're thrilled that ë-C3 has once again been recognised for its outstanding affordability. ë-C3 highlights Citroën's commitment to make electrification accessible as we have the widest range of affordably priced electric vehicles from any manufacturer in the UK. Ami 100 per cent ëlectric, ë-C3, ë-C3 Aircross, ë-C4 and ë-C4 X are all available for under £30,000."
