TWO new special edition versions of the Volkswagen T-Roc are launched this week with a raft of additional features including stylish new 19-inch alloys and VW's IQ matrix headlights.
The new Style Design and Black Edition Plus build on the already well-specified Style and Black Edition trims, which they replace.
And the good news for VW fans is that there's no extra cost for the extras fitted to the Black Edition Plus while the Style Design costs only £1,000 more than the outgoing Style variants with more than five grand's worth of additional spec.
Both variants gain improved standard specifications over their outgoing counterparts, including black alloy wheels, an electric tailgate, rear-view camera, keyless access, a panoramic sunroof and metallic paint with a black roof.
The Style Design also comes with a design pack which adds black door mirrors to match the roof and matrix headlights which react automatically to oncoming traffic and road conditions to maximise night-time visibility for drivers.
Together, the Style Design's additional features would cost £5,520 if ordered as options, but the upgraded model is priced just £1,000 more than the outgoing Style trim, at £33,205.
The additional features on the Black Edition Plus would normally cost £3,225 if ordered as T-Roc options, but come at no extra cost matching the previous Black Edition at £36,515.
With the previous T-Roc R-Line no longer available to order, the two new special editions sit between the £29,315 entry-level T-Roc Life and the £29,490 Match and the high-performance T-Roc R and R Black Edition which are priced at £45,390 and £46,640 respectively.
The T-Roc Style Design and Black Edition Plus can both be ordered from Volkswagen dealers from Thursday 22 May.
