THE Renault Captur and Symbioz have received several updates for the 2026 model year, with the choice of a new, more powerful TCe 115 powertrain for the Captur and the wider availability of the sporty esprit Alpine trim.

The Renault Captur is now available with a new TCe 115 engine, which replaces the previous TCe 90 as the introduction to the range.

The 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder unit produces 115hp and 190Nm, providing stronger performance and improved drivability compared to the 90hp engine it replaces. Coupled with its six-speed manual transmission, drivers can expect a more engaging experience while retaining excellent fuel efficiency and low emissions. Provisional WLTP combined COâ emissions are 130g/km, with homologation currently in progress.

Prices for the new Captur TCe 115 start from £22,495.

Captur buyers can also now specify the TCe 115 with the esprit Alpine trim for the first time.

Previously exclusive to the full hybrid E-Tech 160, esprit Alpine combines sporty styling with enhanced comfort and safety technologies, offering a more dynamic and premium expression of the Captur.

Compared with techno, techno esprit Alpine adds esprit Alpine exterior styling cues, 19-inch ‘elixir' alloy wheels, heated front seats and a heated synthetic leather steering wheel, electrically adjustable front seats with manual lumbar adjustment, electric power hands-free boot opening, adaptive cruise control with lane centring and Active Driver Assist, blind spot recognition and rear detection with emergency lane keeping assist, occupant safe exit alert, rear cross traffic with pedestrian alert, and rear automatic braking.

The Renault Symbioz line-up is also being strengthened with the addition of the techno esprit Alpine mild hybrid 140.

Priced from £29,595, this new model pairs the 140hp mild hybrid petrol engine with the high-specification techno esprit Alpine trim, combining strong performance with exclusive design touches and additional technology.

Drivers now have greater flexibility to choose the mild hybrid 140 engine with either techno or techno esprit Alpine trim, or the smooth and efficient full hybrid E-Tech 160 powertrain in techno, techno esprit Alpine, or iconic esprit Alpine trim, making it even easier to match personal preferences for style, comfort, and safety.

Orders for the updated Renault Captur and Symbioz are now open, with first deliveries expected later in the year.
