MG has announced its first seven-seat SUV - the new MG MGS9.
With three rows of seats, the MGS9 PHEV is a new entrant to the large SUV sector with prices ranging from £34,205 to £36,945.
When the extra seats in the third row are folded away, the all-new MGS9 PHEV offers more than 1,000 litres of space for luggage, pets, pushchairs or anything else family life demands.
Even with all seven seats being used, there is 332 litres of space available.
Using MG's proven plug-in hybrid technology from the MG HS, the MGS9 PHEV combines a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with a 24.7kWh battery offering an electric range of up to 62 miles - more than enough for most commutes or daily family duties.
David Allison, MG UK's director of product and planning, said: "The launch of the MGS9 PHEV represents a significant milestone for MG, marking our entry into the 7-seat SUV segment and further strengthening our position in the large SUV market.
"As a vehicle that is both longer and taller than the MG HS, the all-new MGS9 PHEV delivers enhanced presence and versatility, offering the flexibility of a third row to meet the evolving needs of modern families and lifestyle-driven customers."
"Combining an excellent electric range and strong efficiency with an elevated level of specification and refinement, the all-new MGS9 PHEV continues MG's commitment to delivering accessible innovation and exceptional value within a highly competitive 7-seat SUV segment."
The MGS9 PHEV offers a high specification including leather-style upholstery, large panoramic sunroof, heated, ventilated, as well as massaging, and tri-zone air conditioning to keep every occupant comfortable.
The MGS9 PHEV has already been awarded the top level five-star rating from Euro NCAP, thanks in part to its use of high-strength steel and up to 16 advanced driver assistance technologies.
