CHINESE car brand LEPAS is preparing for a star-studded reveal during Milan Design Week, which will see the European debut of the LEPAS L6 in Super Hybrid and battery electric vehicle form, alongside the flagship LEPAS L8 as a Super Hybrid model.

The European debut comes at a pivotal moment for LEPAS UK, which confirmed its plans for the market earlier this year, arriving in the UK towards the end of 2026.

The self-charging LEPAS Super Hybrid pairs a 1.5-litre engine with an electric motor and battery pack to deliver over 700 miles of total range, while the fully electric L6 BEV offers 270 miles of range from a 67kWh battery.

Both models feature rapid-charging capability, with the BEV able to recharge from 30-80 per cent in approximately 20 minutes.

The LEPAS L6 shows parent company Chery International's award-winning technologies and both models are engineered on Chery's all-new New Energy Vehicle modular platform, tailored for European roads.

Ray Wang, LEPAS UK managing director, said: "The LEPAS L6 marks an exciting step for our brand in Europe and, of course, the UK market - as we confirm this will be the second model sold. Combining our proprietary LEPAS Super Hybrid and fully electric powertrains, the LEPAS L6 delivers exceptional efficiency, impressive range, and rapid charging - all tailored for British roads.

"The LEPAS L6 is as clever as your smartphone, with intelligent technology woven into every journey, and as sophisticated as your home, delivering comfort, safety, and connectivity at every turn. We're thrilled to confirm it will arrive in the UK later this year following its launch in Milan - a place where design and innovation converge.

Arriving as a five-seater, medium-segment SUV, the LEPAS L6 has a sculpted exterior said to capture the elegance and agility of a running leopard, with front LED headlights shaped to resemble a leopard's eye.

Although smaller than the flagship L8, the L6 has a connected cabin, advanced driver assistance, and is built to global five-star safety standards.

LEPAS - combining "Leopard" and "Passion" - is designed for those who value authentic engineering, cutting-edge innovation, and an elevated everyday ownership experience.

Full UK specifications will be revealed later.
