GEELY has announced the addition of the Ultra to the Geely EX5 line-up, with cars expected in dealerships from May 5, 2026.

The Ultra is the flagship variant of the Geely EX5 range bringing increased range, a larger battery, towing capacity and an additional exterior colour, reinforcing the brand's commitment to offering innovative, value-driven new energy vehicle solutions for UK customers.

At the heart of the new Geely EX5 Ultra is a 68.39 kWh battery, delivering a WLTP range of up to 280 miles, offering customers greater confidence for longer journeys while retaining the driving experience expected of Geely's Global Electric Architecture (GEA).

The Geely EX5 Ultra will accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 7.6 seconds and produces 320 Nm of torque, combining strong performance with impressive efficiency.

For the first time in the Geely EX5 line-up, the Ultra introduces a 750kg braked towing capacity, supported by Trailer Stability Assist. This upgrade significantly enhances versatility, making the Geely EX5 Ultra well-suited to active lifestyles, light towing and leisure use.

The Geely EX5 Ultra also debuts a new exterior paint option, Rainforest Green, joining the existing colour palette and giving customers an additional distinctive choice inspired by natural landscapes.

While the range-topping Ultra is priced at £38,990, the Geely EX5 starts from £31,990 and offers a high level of technology and safety specification right from the entry level SE, including a 15.4-inch central infotainment screen, 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, surround view camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and comprehensive suite of ADAS tools.

The Ultra will also feature the same additional specification as the Max, including a 13.8-inch head-up display, a 16-speaker FlyMe sound system, a panoramic sunroof, power tailgate and front seat ventilation and massage function.

"The launch of the Geely EX5 Ultra marks yet another important step forward for Geely Auto in the UK. We've listened to customer and retailer feedback and responded with a model that offers greater range, higher specification and increased everyday usability, while remaining true to our commitment to outstanding value", said Michael Yang, managing director of Geely Auto UK.

"We also recognise that a larger battery brings additional weight and higher energy consumption, so we have carefully struck a balance between battery weight and range enhancement - and as with the rest of the Geely EX5 range, both the battery and the vehicle are covered by an 8-year warranty, giving our customers added peace of mind."

Continuing with the launch offer of a reduced cost home wallbox in partnership with Andersen EV, Geely Auto is offering all Geely EX5 customers a dual-branded Andersen 7kW smart home charger with professional installation for £499.

With a market value of £1,499, Geely Auto is both saving customers £1,000 and helping make the transition to electric mobility as seamless as possible.

The Geely EX5 Ultra is on sale now through Geely's UK retailer network, with first customer deliveries expected from May 2026.
