NISSAN is making updates to the Nissan Ariya for 2026 enhancing the brand's flagship electric crossove
Since its launch in 2021, the Nissan Ariya has symbolised Nissan's vision for electric mobility, combining strong performance, a smooth and quiet ride, and a spacious, lounge-like interior.
The latest model year update builds on these core strengths, delivering a refreshed exterior design, enhanced ride comfort and new features to support everyday electric driving.
It has a redesigned front appearance, creating a cleaner and more seamless look. The body colour front panel and reinterpreted V-Motion signature give Ariya a strong yet minimalist presence, reinforcing its confident character as a next-generation electric vehicle.
Newly designed 19-inch wheels, combining aluminium and resin elements, add a refined visual contrast that enhances Ariya's premium stance.
Inside, a redesigned central console increases the storage space by up to 3.2 litresl and incorporates the latest generation 15W wireless charger.
For 2026, Ariya is equipped with the latest generation of NissanConnect with Google built-in, offering enhanced connected experience inside and outside of the car.
The In-Car Route Planner by Google Maps is available as standard across the line-up.
To save time, the car intelligently pre-conditions the battery as you approach a charging station, ensuring it reaches the optimal temperature for the fastest charge.
A dedicated Connectivity app monitors battery levels, manages charging sessions, adjusts climate settings and tracks tire pressures directly from your phone.
The 2026 Nissan Ariya offers AC charging via an 11-kW bi-directional on-board charger, supporting Vehicle-to-Load (V2L). For DC rapid charging, the Ariya supports speeds of up to 130â¯kW, enabling efficient long-distance travel and reduced charging times.
The new V2L functionality allows compatible external electrical devices to be powered directly from the vehicle via a dedicated connector, providing up to 3kW of output when stationary - to do things like power an electric cooker or charging a laptop.
Ride comfort is further enhanced through updated suspension tuning, delivering improved stability, reduced vibrations and a smoother driving experience, particularly over long distances.
The Ariya also features ProPILOT advanced driver assistance systems, including adaptive distance control functions, supporting driving in stop-and-go traffic by assisting acceleration, deceleration and stopping, helping to reduce driver fatigue. These technologies have been enhanced to ensure faster response times and better, smoother adjustments.
The new Ariya will go on sale from June, with price starting from £37,000 for Engage+ models and £43,245 for Advance cars. First deliveries are expected from September.
The Ariya Engage+ is expected to qualify for the UK government Electric Car Grant - this is subject to confirmation by the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles. The above prices do not include the anticipated government grant.
