SKODA has confirmed final UK specifications, pricing and order details for the new, all-electric Epiq which will be priced from £24,950.
The Epiq extends the brand's electric model range into the entry-level segment, combining compact dimensions with a spacious interior and high everyday usability.
With its starting price the Epiq achieves price parity with its ICE counterpart, the Kamiq, making it the most affordable fully electric Skoda model and bringing the brand's electric vehicles within reach of an even broader group of customers.
The city SUV crossover plays a key role in Skoda's electric portfolio and, together with the new, all-electric Peaq, will double the brand's all-electric model range.
Orders for the new, all-electric Epiq will open in July, starting with SE L and Edition specifications with the 55 battery.
The Epiq is the first Skoda model to be built on the Volkswagen Group's new MEB+ platform and the brand's first all-electric model with front-wheel drive.
Optimised for a new generation of compact electric vehicles, the platform combines reduced weight with high efficiency.
The UK range will consist of two value-packed trim levels: SE L and Edition, the latter priced from £27,700.
An exclusive First Edition will also be offered from launch featuring a packed specification list that includes a number of special design elements.It will cost from £31,450.
In addition to the glossy black Tech-Deck Face, the Epiq is characterised by a new T-shaped light signature, a feature that will define the look of future Skoda SUV models, and robust bumper design with O-shaped air inlets - a key Epiq design feature.
The Epiq will be offered with six paint colour options, five of which are new and include the free-of-charge solid paint colour Marble Grey (solid) and exclusive metallic paint colour Jasper Red.
Inside, the Epiq offers a functional interior, complemented by a 475-litre boot and numerous additional storage solutions. The Epiq also offers under-bonnet storage thanks to the inclusion of a 25-litre front luggage compartment, known as the frunk.
Customers can further personalise the Epiq with a choice of three new interior Design Selections.
Loft Grey, which is standard on SE L and Edition, combines grey fabric and artificial leather with grey stitching and provides a traditional feel with features a range of sustainable materials. This includes Techtona, a durable, easy-care synthetic leather alternative that reduces chemical use and water consumption during production. This completely animal-free material has been introduced for the first time in the Skoda Epiq.
Loft Mint, which is available as an option on Edition, features mint fabric and grey artificial leather with mint stitching, while Suite, comprises brown artificial leather and microsuede with brown stitching.
Connectivity in the new Epiq is centred around a new infotainment system and a 13-inch centre display. The system offers extensive personalisation options, online services and access to a dedicated app store.
The MySkoda app enables remote access to vehicle information, charging management and selected comfort functions.
The new Skoda Epiq is available with two battery options and two power outputs, all combined with frontâwheel drive.
The smaller battery fitted to the Epiq 40 has a usable 37kWh capacity and uses lithium-ion-phosphate (LFP) chemistry. It is expected to deliver a driving range of around 190 miles. The larger battery fitted to the Epiq 55 offers a usable capacity of 52kWh and uses nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) chemistry, providing a higher energy density and supporting a longer driving range of up to 272 miles.
Both battery variants can charge from 10-80 per cent in under 25 minutes. The Epiq 40 generates 135ps while the Epiq 55 produces 211ps.
Inside, the Epiq is equipped with a 13-inch infotainment screen and a five-inch digital cockpit, delivering an intuitive and connected driving experience. Wireless Smartlink integration ensures seamless smartphone connectivity, while rear parking sensors and one-zone climate control provide added comfort and convenience for both driver and passengers. All models also come equipped with keyless start/stop and adaptive cruise control.
The Epiq First Edition 55 will be offered as a limited edition model and features a number of exterior details not available on other Epiq variants. These include accents in Navajo Orange on the wing-mirror caps, the trim above the side windows, a stripe on the wheel covers, and the surrounds of the vertical openings in both the front and rear bumpers.
Inside, the Epiq First Edition has orange stitching on the steering wheel, seats and the dashboard while orange seat belts provide a particularly striking visual accent. Further features include a three-spoke sports steering wheel with red stitching and a First Edition badge, a black headlining, sports pedal covers, and decorative door sills that enhance the interior's sporty feel.
The Epiq First Edition will be offered with the larger 52kWh battery and has a power output of 211ps.
