LEPAS has confirmed full UK specification for the new L6 EV, an all-electric medium-segment SUV bringing together elegant design, advanced technology and practicality.
Joining the flagship L8 PHEV, the L6 EV - the brand's first all-electric SUV - has been designed around modern urban life. Its well-balanced dimensions are combined with a spacious interior, generous electric range and technology designed to make everyday driving easier.
UK customers can choose between two trim levels. Essence, which includes a comprehensive suite of technology, safety and comfort features and Elevate, which adds further luxury, convenience and intelligent parking technology.
Both variants use a 65kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and front-mounted electric motor producing 217ps and 275Nm of torque, with acceleration from 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 111mph.
Its 279-mile range is designed to cover everyday journeys as well as longer trips. When charging is needed, the 120kW DC capability provides a 30-80 per cent charge in approximately 22 minutes.
The L6 EV is built on LEPAS' LEX Platform, a new-energy architecture developed around intelligence, efficiency and safety. The EV's integrated 12-in-1 electric drive system has been designed for efficiency and smooth power delivery, with electric power steering and an electric brake booster are standard.
The L6 EV features Bosch IBP 2.0 braking technology which has been developed to improve braking performance, energy recovery and pedal feel, whilst also reducing the pitching sensation sometimes associated with electric vehicles.
As with the L8, LEPAS' European chassis team carried out dedicated development work to refine the L6 EV for European roads, engineered to combine smooth electric performance with the ride comfort and predictable handling expected by European drivers.
The L6 EV brings LEPAS' Leopard Aesthetics design philosophy to the SUV market. Its clean, flowing shape includes details inspired by the movement, confidence and agility of one nature's most elegant predators.
Signature 'Hunting Eye' LED headlights are joined by a wide-body profile inspired by a leopard in motion and distinctive LED rear lighting.
At 4,570mm long, 1,852mm wide (excluding mirrors) and 1,676mm high, the L6 EV combines SUV road presence with dimensions suited to towns and cities. A 2,700mm wheelbase helps maximise passenger space, while 159mm of ground clearance adds everyday versatility.
Both Essence and Elevate feature 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Standard equipment also includes LED headlights with Intelligent High Beam Assist, LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights. Electrically adjustable, heated and power-folding door mirrors with puddle lights are also standard.
Privacy glass is fitted to the rear windows and tailgate, while acoustic laminated front side windows help reduce outside noise.
In addition to the free of charge Lucid White, L6 EV features five other pearlescent exterior colours priced at £500: Phantom Grey, Cosmic Black, Quicksilver, alongside the vibrant Solar Orange and Supernova Purple.
The L6 EV's interior has been designed to feel calm, spacious and intuitive. Advanced technology is integrated into a clean and uncluttered cabin.
A wrap-around cockpit puts the driver at the centre of the experience, while the 13.2-inch waterfall-style central touchscreen display brings a sense of minimalism while the large panoramic sunroof brings natural light into the cabin.
LEPAS's intelligent LEX Platform has allowed designers to create a flat floor in the rear, creating more space and giving rear passengers more room to stretch out.
The boot provides 410 litres of luggage space, increasing to 1,334 litres with the rear seats folded. A further 99 litres of hidden underfloor storage provides space for charging equipment, shopping and other items.
Both models come with a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, dual-zone climate control, rear air vents and a heated multifunction steering wheel, whilst heated front windscreen, keyless entry and go and 40/60 split-folding rear seats are also standard.
The entry-level Essence trim features Basalt Black fabric upholstery and six-way manually adjustable front seats.
Elevate adds Basalt Black full leather-effect upholstery and six-way power adjustment for both front seats, with the driver also benefiting from four-way power lumbar adjustment. Heated and ventilated front seats are standard on Elevate, along with a power tailgate, Nano-Aqua Ion Air Purification System and 256-colour ambient lighting.
Prices are still to be announced but are expected to start from around £32,000.
