ANOTHER SUV is on the way from Kia as the Korean car maker confirms it will be bringing its latest Seltos compact model to the UK.

It will sit between the Stonic and the Sportage in Kia's line-up and measures aome 4,430mm long, 1,660mm tall and 1,830mm wide.

Prices are still to be revealed but the Seltos will be powered by either a 1.6-litre petrol engine developing either 180ps or 193ps or a 2.0-litre unit with149ps on tap. There is no mention of an EV.

The lower powered 1.6 engine will be offered with seven-speed dual-clutch transmission or six-speed manual transmission while the higher powered version will be paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

All-wheel drive will be an option and as such the Seltos will be fitted with a multi-link

A hybrid variant will join the line-up in 2026 and as well as a Vehicle-to-Load function for powering external devices, the hybrid model will introduce Kia's Smart Regenerative Braking System 3.0 - a next-generation technology that automatically adjusts regenerative braking based on traffic flow and navigation data to optimise energy recovery.

Safety aids will include Kia's highway driving assistant which incorporates lane following, a surround-view monitor and a collision avoidance reversing system.

There is also a head-up display as well as two 12.-3-inch display screens as well as the ability to receive over-the-air updates.

Boot space is 536 litres with a flexible storage configuration, including a foldable dual-level cargo board, and Kia's AddGear accessory system from the PV5 van which adds mounting points throughout the cabin for the like of tablets and phones.

Kia says global production of the new Seltos begins in December 2025 starting with India, followed by launches in Korea, North America, Europe and China throughout 2026.

It is expected to cost from around £30,000.
