NEW trim levels have been announced by Hyundai on the i20 supermini and Bayon compact SUV.
Heading up the trims on the i20, a new Element specification offers a functional appearance, while Black Line introduces sharper black styling and more convenient features.
Tech Line is the new range-topping trim, combining key features from the previous Premium and Ultimate specifications.
On the Bayon, the new range structure combines key features from previous trims into two models, with Black Line replacing Advance and a new Tech Line trim introduced as the range-topping option.
The Black Line 1.0T 90ps six speed manual transmission Bayon is available from £23,795, and Hyundai says it introduces a higher level of comfort and convenience than the outgoing Advance trim.
Black Line introduces dark exterior styling enhancements including 16-inch black alloy wheels, black door mirrors, black belt line finish and privacy glass, combined with new comfort features such as heated front seats and heated steering wheel. Black Line is also available with the 1.0T 90ps seven speed dual clutch transmission.
Priced from £25,295, the Tech Line 1.0T 90ps with manual transmission builds on Black Line with additional comfort, convenience and refinement.
Standard equipment includes 17-inch silver alloy wheels, chrome belt line finish, keyless entry with engine start/stop button, wireless phone charging for compatible devices, automatic air-conditioning, automatic wipers with rain sensor, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, front parking sensors and front armrest. Tech Line is also available with the 1.0T 90ps seven speed dual clutch transmission.
On the i20, the Element 1.0T 90ps six speed manual transmission is priced from £19,995 and becomes the new entry point to the i20 range.
Inside, the Element trim has a 4.2-inch TFT LCD configurable driver display, leather steering wheel and gear knob, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen with DAB radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a front USB-C charging Port.
Element also includes manual air-conditioning, cruise control with speed limiter, rear parking sensors, rear-view camera with dynamic guidelines, lane keep assist and lane follow assist. Element is also available with the 1.0T 90ps seven speed dual clutch transmission.
The Black Line 1.0T 90ps manual transmission is priced from £22,945 and builds on the Element model with features such as a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, LED headlights and taillights, black door mirrors, black belt line and black roof lining, privacy glass, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and passenger seatback pockets. Black Line is also available with the 1.0T 90ps seven speed dual clutch transmission.
Priced from £24,245, the Tech Line is the new range-topping trim and combines the key features from the outgoing Premium and Ultimate trims.
In addition to Black Line equipment, Tech Line has automatic air-conditioning, wireless phone charging for compatible devices, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors with power-folding function, front parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, interior ambient lighting, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, centre console armrest, rear USB charging port, windscreen auto-defog function, chrome belt line and keyless entry with engine start/stop button.
Tech Line is also available with the 1.0T 90ps seven speed dual clutch transmission.
Performance figures for the i20 are 0-62 mph in 11.5 seconds for the manual model and 12.8 seconds for the DCT. Top speeds are 112 mph and 111 mph respectively.
The Bayon is powered by a revised 1.0-litre T-GDi 90ps engine paired with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
The manual model achieves 0-62mph in 11.9 seconds with a top speed of 108mph, while the DCT achieves 0-62mph in 13.3 seconds with a 107mph top speed.
