Volvo reveals S90
and V90 prices
VOLVO'S new S90 saloon and V90 estate models will cost from £32,555 and £34,555 when they hit UK streets in September.
Like the XC90 off-roader before them, the newcomers feature the new face of Volvo, including the Swedish brand's T-shaped LED headlights, and are powered by the efficient Drive-E engines.
Both models will initially be available with a choice of two 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engines - the tax-efficient D4 and the refined D5 PowerPulse - and in two trim levels, Momentum and Inscription.
The front-wheel-drive 190bhp D4 comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and offers combined fuel consumption of 64.2 mpg and CO2 emissions of 116g/km in the S90. In the V90, the corresponding figures are 62.8 mpg and 119g/km.
Developing a hefty 235bhp, D5 PowerPulse uses compressed air to boost the turbo at low revs, and also comes with all-wheel drive.
Volvo says every version of the S90 and V90 will be luxuriously equipped, even entry grade variants including the likes of leather upholstery, LED headlights, two-zone climate control air-filtration, keyless engine starting and heated front seats.
Volvo's Sensus infotainment system is also standard - bringing a nine-inch touchscreen, sat-nav), voice-control plus access to the internet and cloud-based apps, and there's also a powered bootlid/tailgate.
Pilot Assist, Volvo's semi-autonomous drive feature, is standard on every S90 and V90 along with the latest version of City Safety.
Moving up to Inscription adds stuff like soft leather upholstery, powered front seats, a 12.3-inch TFT info display, 18-inch alloys and walnut interior inlays.
The optional Xenium package is available across the range and adds a powered tilt and slide glass sunroof - panoramic in the V90 - a parking camera system with 360 degree surround view and Park Assist Pilot, which includes automatic parallel and 90 degree parking.
The order book is now open, with the first S90 deliveries expected in September and the V90s in October.
