Beijing it's another
Panamera
CHINESE car fans will be the first to see two extra versions of the new Porsche Panamera luxury saloon.
Bosses at the German sports car firm have decided to stage the global debut of V6-powered models at the Beijing motor show in April.
Offering a choice of two or four wheel drive, the new cars are powered by all-new 3.6-litre motors fitted with direct fuel injection to develop 300bhp.
Equipped with a double-clutch gearbox and stop-start technology, the rear-wheel drive version averages 30.4mpg while the all-drive Panamera 4 returns 29.4mpg.
Available to UK buyers from June, the cars are 30kg lighter than the V8-powered S and 4S models and a high level of comfort is assured by standard equipment that includes bi-xenon headlights, front and rear park assist, heated front seats, tyre pressure monitoring, automatic dimming rear view mirrors, cruise control and touch-screen satellite navigation.
The Panamera costs £61,461 and the Panamera 4 is priced at £66,929 and every car comes with a tracking system and a complimentary driving course at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone.
