FIAT has lifted the lid on a new convertible special edition in collaboration with fashion clothing brand Diesel.

It's called the 500Cby Diesel and heralds a new Midnight Indigo Blue colour, a shade reminiscent of stone-washed denim jeans.

Based on the Fiat 500C Lounge specification, the car comes with a choice of 1.2 and 1.4-litre petrol, and 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engines.

Also available in Crossover Black and Diesel Green, there's the option of black, ivory and red soft top colours.

The  500CbyDiesel has many of the other features that made the hatchback version so distinctive, like 16-inch alloys with Diesel logo, leather steering wheel with yellow stitching, denim fabric upholstery and burnished door handles and mirrors.

In line with the Fiat 500C Lounge version, the special edition will also be fitted with automatic climate control and rear parking sensors as standard.

"The 500byDiesel took the automotive and fashion worlds by storm last year, and we are delighted to be able to do it again with a 500C version," said Fiat marketing director Elena Bernardelli.

Prices start at £14,865 for the 1.2-litre version rising to £16,265 (1.4-litre) and £17,265 for the 1.3-litre MultiJet.
