New Touran looks the
business
YOU can now get your order in for the new VW Touran midi-MPV with deliveries due to start on September 22.
It has fresh styling both inside and out and a range of efficient new engines with a starting price of £17,585.
It looks lower and wider than the old model with changes to the front wings, bonnet and front bumper, new wing mirrors, rear lights and a restyled tailgate.
The second generation of VW's park assist is available as an extra - an ingenious system that parks the car for you.
Engines range up from the excellent new 1.2TSi turbo with 105bhp which will average 44mpg and keeps emissions down to 149g/km.
In BlueMotion form, complete with Stop/Start and battery regeneration, this model will return 47.9 mpg with just 139g/km of CO2.
Other petrol and diesel engines will be available ranging in power from 90 to 170bhp and there will be three trim levels - S, SE and Sport - all of which can have the bluemotion technology added.
Inside, the entertainment and climate have been revised and there's a new three-spoke steering wheel plus restyled dials.
