I'VE just discovered what it's like to be given the celebrity treatment with eyes following your every move, although the attention seemed to dry up once I left the stunning Nissan 370Z behind.
For the beautifully-crafted sports car really does have it all - it's got lines to bring out the green-eyed monster in the most placid bystander, power to blow your socks off and all the handling and performance you could ever dream of in a car.
High praise indeed but surely there has to be a downside and for me it is sadly our British weather with its unpredictable turns for the worst.
The 370Z is the perfect companion to while away the long summer days - you simply lower the roof at the flick of a switch and away you go with the wind in your hair.
But with the roof raised and rain hammering down from the heavens the bubble can soon burst. The visibility is fairly limited and the fun of a two-seater sports car and a driving position close to the ground is far less appealing with road surface spray flying at the screen.
But that criticism of Mother Nature aside, the 370Z is a brilliant vehicle.
It offers a very comfortable ride thanks to the extremely efficient shock absorbers that easily tackle our network of potholed motorways.
The 3.7-litre V6 engine delivers awesome power and the six speed manual transmission is very responsive offering blistering acceleration.
The 370Z tackles sharp bends for fun and generally the visibility is okay, but it can be very difficult to see anything in your blind spot with the roof closed.
From the outside you cannot fail to notice the car's beefy front end, 19-inch alloys and twin exhaust.
Once inside, the body-hugging sports seats offer ample support and the list of creature comforts is also highly impressive with fully automatic air con, a Bose audio system with eight speakers, CD player, sat nav, power windows, heated and air conditioned seats, cruise control and plenty more besides.
Another impressive feature is the amount of space occupants are treated to and the generously-sized boot area too, which unlike some convertibles is not reduced when the roof is lowered.
There are also a number of useful storage compartments throughout the cabin including space behind the seats.
Nissan has fitted a comprehensive list of safety features to the car, including anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, driver, passenger and side airbags, active headrests, a tyre pressure monitoring system and more besides.
