VAUXHALL has taken the Frankfurt Motor Show by storm with no less than seven world premieres.

The line-up is led by the eye-catching Monza concept, the first car to feature LED projection infotainment and an evolution of the Ampera's revolutionary powertrain.

Then there's the new Insignia range which not only heralds fresh styling but also extra appeal to fleet bosses and company car drivers courtesy of the 2.0 CDTi ecoFLEX model with its low CO2 emissions of 99g/km.

Also breaking cover at Frankfurt are a rugged new range-topping Country Tourer derivative and a fiery VXR performance model, the fastest car you can buy in the UK for under £30,000.

Continuing the tech connectivity theme, Vauxhall's ADAM Black Link and White Link special editions are on show for the first time.

With the IntelliLink infotainment system and Siri Eyes Free voice control as standard, the trendy black-white special models with smartphone-inspired looks will appeal to style-conscious customers.

Earlier this year Vauxhall was the first manufacturer to bring such 'talking car' technology to market and now these special models have the feature as standard.

And the British manufacturer's extensive powertrain renewal has continued with new generation engines including a three-cylinder petrol unit set to debut in the funky ADAM and a powerful 1.6-litre SIDI petrol engine in the Cascada convertible.

The Monza Concept, modelled on ocean waves lapping on the shore, is a new interpretation of the sculptural design that first went into production with the Insignia.

Vauxhall design chief Mark Adams said: "This is the next bold step along our journey into the future, but at the same time we show that we have established a consistent design in which people can build trust."
