Nissan hits a high
note
A CAR that families have embraced due to its design versatility and value for money is about to get a new supercharged petrol engine.
The British-built Nissan Note represents executive saloon space in a supermini-sized MPV and now boasts a version featuring the Japanese brand's DIG-S powerplant.
This 1.2-litre direct injection unit produces 98PS, has low CO2 emissions of 99g/km, can return 65.7mpg and also has Stop/Start.
The DIG-S model comes with the choice of either a five-speed manual transmission or an optional Xtronic, the latter producing 119 g/km of emissions
And as a range-topping version it gets 16-inch alloy wheels as standard along with revisions to the suspension for better ride and handling.
The DIG-S completes the Note's powertrain line-up and is expected to represent 25 per cent of sales in the UK.
It is available in Acenta trim upwards with prices from £14,495 and carries a £1,000 premium over the non-supercharged 1.2-litre engine.
Nissan is also introducing a Style Pack for an additional £800 which adds two-tone diamond cut 16-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, carbon look rear bumper, rear roof spoiler, side sills and a more aggressive front bumper with glossy black grille.
