Primo price cut puts

GT86 on pole

Toyota GT86 2016

WITH a £300 price cut and a special offer that'll save you another £505, the latest Toyota GT86 Primo looks a hot sports coupe buy for the summer.

The GT86 range has been refreshed with detailed styling changes and, while the entry-level Primo model benefits from little more than a new set of 16-inch alloys, its' price tag of £22,195 makes it stand out from the coupe crowd while the prices of other models in the range stay the same.

New wheels and new colours lead the features list, with the range-topping Aero model running on gloss black 18-inch rims and available with a hot GT86 Orange paint finish. In line with customer demand, the Aero is now only available with a six-speed manual transmission.

There are no changes to the dynamic package although the normally aspirated two-litre boxer now complies with Euro 6 emissions standards, with no change to its fuel economy and COperformance, according to Toyota.

Orders for the latest range are being taken by dealers now for delivery from mid-July, although potential buyers may be advised to hold fire until details are revealed of a new special edition model which will be joining the range in the summer.
