THE new Skoda Octavia will be on the road in Britain by the end of March with prices ranging from £17,055 to £30,085.

The UK range will feature six engines, two body styles - hatchback and estate - and seven trim levels including Scout all road derivatives and high performance vRS models.

The line-up comprises S, SE, SE Technology, SE L and Laurin & Klement trim levels.

With a front design that includes a new quad light layout the latest Octavias also feature new technology including updated infotainment systems controlled from an all-glass dashboard display measuring up to 9.2 inches.

Other equipment available on the new models includes a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting with 10 colour choices and a customisable key that allows multiple users to save their own vehicle settings.

Safety and assistance systems have also been enhanced with kit such as trailer assist which is able to control the steering when the vehicle is reversing while towing.

Other changes include an improved pedestrian detection system as well as blind spot monitors and rear traffic sensors.

All models now have alloy wheels, touchscreen infotainment systems, LED rear lights, air conditioning and automatic post-collision braking system.

The Octavia has become the backbone of the Skoda line-up since its reintroduction in 1996 and has been the brand's best-selling model in the UK.

To date, more than five million Octavias have been produced, with sales in more than 100 markets worldwide.
