ITALIAN sports car company Abarth is continuing its run of limited edition models with a special version of the 695 hot hatch to mark its tie up with Yamaha motorcycles.

As the official car supplier to the Yamaha Factory racing team in this year's MotoGP World Championship, Abarth has released the 695 XSR Yamaha decked out with an exclusive grey paint job.

With red body highlights and plenty of use of carbon fibre it mimics the finish Yamaha is using on its XSR900 motorcycle.

The XSR Yamaha is being restricted to a run of 695 hatchbacks and a further 695 cabriolets priced from £20,360 and £22,360.

Powered by a 1.4-litre turbo T-Jet petrol engine and mated to a five speed manual gearbox the XSR Yamaha has a 0 to 60 time of 7.3 seconds, tops out at 135mph and is rated at 47.1mpg with emissions of 139g/km.

Special features include and Akrapovic exhaust system and Abarth's onboard telemetry system as well as a seven-inch Uconnet display screen.

Other high end style cues include Alcantara trim in the sports seat, a carbon-effect dash, metal pedals and the 695 XSR sits on 17-inch alloys.

There's also a numbered plaque to denote its exclusivity.
