TOYOTA is expanding its GT86 sports car range with a new Blue Edition model fitted with an optional performance pack for sharper handling.

With equipment levels that match the hot GT86 Pro including a limited-slip differential, the uprated Blue Edition sits on uprated Sachs-tuned suspension and has large Brembo brakes to improve stopping power.

It is finished in a blue paint job with black highlights on the front grille, the rear spoiler and diffuser, the door mirror housings and front fog lamp surrounds.

Like the Pro models the Blue Edition also comes with cruise control, automatic headlights, heated front seats and a dual-zone climate control.

Performance figures are unchanged from the regular GT86 models with a 0 to 60 acceleration of 7.7 seconds and a top speed of 140mph for manual versions. Automatics are rated at 8.4 seconds 0 to 60 with a maximum of 130mph.

Prices range from £28,980 for models without the performance upgrade to £31,795 for fully kitted automatics.
