A DRIVE in a new Skoda can turn out to be a real bargain - especially when it comes to newly released versions of the Octavia.

For the new Octavia SE Drive models come packed with more than £1,300 worth of additional kit over and above the SE model, yet cost a mere £550 more.

Priced from £20,155, the SE Drive variants can be specified in both hatch and estate forms and come with three engine options with DSG transmission available on all three powerplants. The engine range starts with a one-litre petrol unit with 113bhp, a more powerful 1.5 148bhp unit just above it and a 1.6 TDI, 113bhp diesel.

All SE Drive models are equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels as standard, along with Amundsen navigation with integrated WiFi and textile floor mats. They also come fitted with acoustic rear parking sensors, cruise control, driver fatigue sensor, driving mode selection and driver personalisation.

Other features include electrically adjustable and heated mirrors, a three-spoke leather multi-function steering wheel and dual-zone air conditioning with humidity sensor.
