THE Audi Q3 SUV line up is being expanded with the introduction of Sportback models which will be on the road in the autumn.

Slightly longer but lower and narrower than the regular Q3 the Sportback will initially be available either with a choice of a 2.0-litre diesel model with 150ps on tap and a 2.0-litre petrol boosted to 230ps.

Soon after the launch a 190ps version of the 2.0 TDI will join the range in conjunction with quattro drive and that will be followed by a 1.5-litre petrol version with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system with a power output of 150ps.

Boot capacity on the coupe-styled model is the same as the Q3 at 530 litres rising to 1,400 and the Sportback comes with a powered tailgate as standard.

The Q3 Sportback will be offered in Sport, S line, Edition 1 and Vorsprung specifications and while performance data and prices are still to be announced Audi says the new model can be ordered from August.
