Hyundai Prophecy EV concept

IT MAY look a little bit like a Porsche 911 on steroids, but this sleek and powerful-looking rear end comes not from a supercar maker, but from a manufacturer who is very much in the motoring mainstream.

In fact, it's a concept electric car from Hyundai. It's called the Prophecy and, according to the Korean company, it defines the direction of future Hyundai designs, while establishing itself as a design icon for Hyundai's line up of electrically powered vehicles.

Due to be unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March, the Prophecy has ben created to reflect the company's new ‘Sensuous Sportiness" design philosophy and features bulbous wheel arches, a boat-tail design with integrated spoiler and vertical pixel lamp taillights.

According to the company's head of global design Sang Yup Lee: "Prophecy does not follow trends. It accentuates timeless beauty that will stand the test of time. Its iconic design stands to expand Hyundai's design spectrum toward even broader horizons."
