CZECH car maker Skoda is adding a new trim level to its popular Fabia, Karoq and Kodiaq model ranges.

The SE Drive grade cars come with extra equipment over the SE trim level.

The Fabia SE Drive comes with 16-inch alloys, a special interior finish and an upgraded Amundsen sat nav system as well as rear parking sensors.

The new trim is available on both Fabia hatch and estate models and use 1.0-litre TSI engines with prices ranging from £14,895 to £18,290.

On the Karoq SUV SE Drive includes 17-inch alloys, LED ambient lighting, a rear view camera and upgraded nav system with prices ranging from £23,385 to £26,700.

Skoda says the cost of the extra equipment represents a £365 saving if the items were fitted as options to an SE trim Karoq.

The savings are greater on the larger Kodiaq SE Drive and come in £400 cheaper than if fitted as options with the car costing £1,485 more than the SE model.

Prices for the Kodiaq SE Drive range from £28,610 for the 1.5 TSI 150ps manual version up to £31,915 for the 2.0 TDI 150ps DSG variant.
