A VERSION of the Skoda Scala mid-sized hatchback is being launched aimed at fleet buyers who want extra equipment on their cars.

The Scala SE Technology has a high specification Amundsen infotainment system as well as front and rear parking sensors and cruise control included in its specification.

Prices start from £20,825 which Skoda says is a premium of £400 over the regular SE model although the Technology grade has an extra £2,100 worth of kit on board.

As well as a 9.2-inch touchscreen controlled set up the Scala SE Technology comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, a chrome window surround and a silver haptic decorative insert on the dashboard.

It is powered by a 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol engine developing 150ps which is mated either to a six-speed manual or an optional seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. The DSG version costs from £22,095.

Other engines will be added to the trim level later in the year and the first SE Technology models are due on the road in September.
