SOME of the most exclusive special edition models ever produced by Mazda will start to arrive in UK showrooms in the autumn - but potential buyers will have to be quick to snap up one of these highly collectable models.

Built to celebrate Mazda's centenary, the 100 Anniversary Special Edition series is a range of special versions of all the key passenger cars in the firm's global line-up. All of them are finished in white with burgundy interior trim inspired by the colour scheme used on high-grade versions of Mazda's first ever passenger car, the R360 Coupe.

Only 100 examples of the 100 Anniversary Mazda3 hatchback, CX30 SUV and MX-5 Convertible models will be available, while the Mazda2 and Mazda6 and CX-5 anniversary models will be even rarer with only five of each available in the UK when they arrive later this year.

All will feature a 100 Anniversary badge on the floormats, on the key fob and embossed into the headrests with the same badge is on the wheel centres and the side of the car. Following delivery, buyers will be given a limited edition book documenting the 100th anniversary of Mazda, as well as a 1:43 model of the Mazda R360 that inspired the special edition models.

First to arrive in dealerships will be the MX-5 Convertible and Mazda3 anniversary models - both priced at £29,995 - and the CX-30 costing £31,695.

Cheapest of the anniversary models, the £20,995 Mazda2, and the Mazda6, priced at £33,995, will arrive later while the CX-5 version will be here by the end of the year at a price which is still to be confirmed.
