SKODA has opened the order books for the sporting version of its' new battery electric SUV, the Enyaq iV, which will go on sale in the summer, providing the Czech company with what it claims is one of the broadest ranges in the electric vehicle sector.
With a £39,900 price tag after deduction of the government's £3,000 plug-in car grant, the SportLine model adds a more dynamic-looking variant to the range thanks to a lowered sports suspension set-up and styling tweaks both inside and out.
The SportLine will only be available with Skoda's most powerful 82-kWh battery and 201bhp electric motor combination driving the rear wheels and will tick off the 0-60mph sprint in less than 8.5 seconds with top speed electronically limited to 99mph. Skoda quotes a range of up to 327 miles on the WLTP combined cycle.
