RENAULT has boosted the appeal of its popular Captur crossover line-up with the addition of two new versions - the dynamic R.S. Line and more value-oriented SE Limited.

Available for the first time on the Captur, the R.S. Line and SE Limited variants join existing Play, Iconic and S Edition models, powered by a range of TCe petrol and advanced E-Tech engines.

Similar to the existing R.S. Line versions of the Clio supermini and Megane hatch, the Captur R.S. Line brings a more athletic edge and extra choice to Captur customers looking for greater kerb appeal.

For instance, the R.S. Line's front-end is inspired by motorsport and features a Formula One-style front blade low down on the more muscular bumper and finished in contrasting grey.

This is complemented by a honeycomb grille and standard-fit LED front headlamps with distinctive C-shaped signature also echoed in the 3D-effect rear lights.

Elsewhere, a grey rear air diffuser, extra tinted rear windows, R.S. Line badges on the wing and tailgate, unique chrome side trim details and 18-inch alloys complete the new look.

Meanwhile the SE Limited has been introduced to bridge the gap between Play and Iconic trims, with a better level of specification featuring unique exterior design elements bolstered by the latest connectivity tech.

On the outside, these variants benefit from two-tone paint with a contrasting black roof as standard, while 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and privacy glass bring an extra touch of sophistication.

Drivers are greeted by ‘LIMITED' badges on the door sills, while SE Limited models also feature grey cloth upholstery specific to the new trim level.

There is also a 7.0-inch EASY LINK touchscreen infotainment system offering navigation, live traffic information and Google search capability on top of the usual DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.

Powertrains include the advanced E-Tech plug-in hybrid offering up to 31 miles of zero tailpipe-emissions, electric-only driving, up to 188.3mpg and as little as 34g/km in CO2emissions, available alongside two updated petrol options, a TCe 90 and TCe 140.

The latter features 12V mild-hybrid technology, bringing electrification to a wider range of Captur models while this engine is also available with a choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed auto transmissions, while the TCe 90 use a six-speed manual gearbox.

Captur SE Limited customers can choose between the TCe 90 fitted with a manual transmission or TCe 140 with automatic.

The order book is open now and prices are from £23,800 for Captur R.S. Line and £20,300 for the SE Limited.
