THE new Renault Captur will be priced from £21,095 when it arrives in the UK in the third quarter of 2024.

With a choice of two engines - a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol or Renault's E-Tech full hybrid 145 powertrain - there are three trim levels available including, for the first time on a Captur, the high specification esprit Alpine grade.

The line up will start with a TCe 90 model in Evolution trim and top out with the esprit Alpine E-Tech 145 hybrid which is priced from £27,995.

In between are E-Tech 145 models in Evolution specification priced from £24,595 and Techno grade from £22,795 for the TCe 90 and £26,295 for the E-Tech powertrain.

Performance figures for the TCe 90 are 0 to 62mph acceleration of 14.3 seconds with a top speed of 104mph and a best fuel return of 47.9mpg while the E-Tech 145 has an acceleration time of 10.6 seconds with a maximum of 106mph.

Emissions are rated at 134g/km and 105g/km respectively.

The new Captur features a 10.4-inch OpenR Link touchscreen with Arkamys six-speaker audio system and wireless smartphone connectivity, plus a wireless smartphone charger.

Its equipment list continues with automatic air conditioning with one touch quick demist and air quality regulator, a central console with sliding armrest, electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, hands-free keycard and synthetic leather steering wheel.

Driver assistance systems include cruise control and speed limiter, traffic sign recognition with overspeed prevention, active emergency braking system, driver attention alert, distance warning alert, front and rear detection with emergency lane keep assist including solid line, oncoming traffic and road edge detection, the Renault my Safety Shield system and hill start assist.
