SPANISH performance brand Cupra has announced pricing for its first all-electric model, the Born hatchback.
Three trims will be available with the line up starting from £33,735 and topping out at £37,375 with mid-range models priced from £34,190.
Initially, the Born will be powered by a 58kWh motor developing 204ps with higher powered 58kWh and 77kWh powertrains coming on stream later in 2022 as well as a 45kWh entry-level model.
Prices for those versions are still to be announced and Cupra says the 58kWh Born will be capable of 0 to 62mph acceleration in 7.2 seconds with an 80 per cent fast recharging time of 35 minutes. A full charge will take a little over six hours.
The Born will be offered in V1, V2 and V3 trims with all models featuring full LED headlights, 12-inch display screens, bucket seats and a digital driver's display.
V2 versions add dark tinted rear windows, heated windscreen washers and front seats as well as a head-up display while V3 cars will sit on 20-inch alloys and have electrically adjustable front seats which are heated and include a massage function.
