A SPECIAL edition of the Renault Captur is being released with only 800 versions being produced for the UK.

The Rive Gauche model will be priced from £24,490 and comes with gloss black exterior details, metallic paint and wireless phone charging with a 9.3-inch touchscreen as standard.

Two engines will be offered, a TCe 90 and a more powerful E-Tech Hybrid 145 with the latter mated to an automatic transmission.

The TCe 90 is rated at 47.1mpg on average while the hybrid comes in at 57.7mpg with emissions of 112g/km.

Standard equipment includes LED front signature lighting, automatic high beam headlights, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, automatic air conditioning and full smartphone integration.

Safety and driver assistance features include front and rear parking sensors, a rear view camera, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, active emergency braking system, a speed limiter and cruise control.
