CITROEN is continuing its push towards electrified mobility with a special event across its dealer network which will see price cuts of £750 on certain EV models.

Running from World EV Day on Friday, September 9 to Monday, September 12 the event will see additional savings on the new C5 Aircross and the C5 X PHEVs and the e-C4 Electric hatchback.

It is part of the brand's Power to The People philosophy and is a fundament of Citroen's Fair Pricing policy to show it is committed to making electrification accessible to all.

The new C5 X PHEV is a crossover which offers a blend of saloon elegance, estate levels of practicality and SUV styling which has a PureTech 180 petrol engine paired with an 81kW electric motor to produce a combined 225hp and 360Nm of torque.

It is capable of up to 37 miles in full electric mode and is priced from £36,470 before the CitroënEVent saving is applied.

The C5 Aircross uses a similar plug-in powertrain which gives it an EV range of 38 miles and costs from £35,835 prior to the event while the e-C4 is totally electric with a range of up to 219 miles with an 80 per cent recharge time of 30 minutes.

The e-C4 Electric is available from £30,995 before the CitroenEVent saving.

Eurig Druce, Citroen UK's managing director, said: "Our ‘Power to The People' philosophy means that we already offer nine electrified models that satisfy a diverse range of needs, from our disruptive Ami 100 per cent electric to our popular e-C4 Electric and through to the plug-in hybrid variants of New C5 X and New C5 Aircross, and we will have an electrified variant across our entire model line-up by 2025.

"Our ‘CitroënEVent' between the 09 - 12 September will allow even more people to enjoy the benefits of driving an electrified vehicle."

There are also savings of £500 available for customers interested in petrol and diesel variants of the new C5 X, the new C5 Aircross and the C4.
