UPDATES are being made to Citroen's van-based people movers with both the e-SpaceTourer and the e-Berlingo getting new looks and more range.

The e-SpaceTourer - which is based on the Dispatch van and comes with nine seats - can now manage up to 217 miles between charges while the seven-seat e-Berlingo sees it range increase from 174 to 198 miles.

Both models now feature Citroen's new retro-look logo and have revised frontal designs including new headlights while on the inside there are changes to the instrument cluster which is now 10-inches in size - the same as the central display screen.

Journey range can be extended using regenerative braking which is now controlled via paddles either side of the steering wheel.

The e-SpaceTourer retains its variable seating configuration which can be altered row by row with the vehicle having a maximum load capacity of 4,554 litres.

The e-Berlingo is available in two lengths - 4.4 metres long for a five-seater and 4.75 metres for the three-row seven-seater - and both have an opening rear window which aids loading and unloading.

Luggage capacity in the e-Berlingo ranges from 775 litres to a maximum of 4,000 litres in the longer model while Citroen is also fitting it with its Advanced Comfort Seats which offer greater support for occupants.

Both are fitted with a range of driving aids which include adaptive cruise control, rear view cameras and automatic emergency braking with the e-SpaceTourer aimed more at the professional driving market such as taxi work or VIP transport and the e-Berlingo targeting families with an outdoor lifestyle.

The vehicles are scheduled for release around the spring of 2024 and while no prices have been announced so far they are expected to be slightly higher than the current models which start from £37,045for the e-SpaceTourer and £31,225 for the e-Berlingo.
