KIA is taking its new all-electric EV9 large SUV on a UK tour to demonstrate the vehicle's abilities.

The EV9 Electric Experience events will be held across Kia's 190 dealerships up and down the country, starting in the south east before heading north.

The event kicks off on July 20 and will be run dealer-by-dealer until mid-November and are available to all members of the public who book a place via the kiaelectricexperience.co.uk website.

Every event will include an unveil show followed by an in-depth presentation about the EV9 and the opportunity to look around the vehicle in detail.

Electric vehicle experts will be available to answer questions so that customers are fully informed with first-hand knowledge about Kia's latest electrified range and the EV9 will be appearing alongside Kia's new EV6 GT and the Niro EV.

The EV9 is a seven-seat electric SUV available in three grades, Air, GT-Line and GT-Line S, a six-seat variant is also exclusively available for the range topping GT-Line S grade. EV9 prices start from £64,995.

The EV9 is powered by either a single motor rear-wheel drive setup for the Air, or a dual motor all-wheel drive powertrain on the GT-Line and GT-Line S.

Every grade of EV9 is equipped with a large 99.8kWh fourth-generation lithium-ion battery. Range for the rear-wheel drive EV9 Air is rated as up to 336 miles, while the all-wheel drive EV9 GT-Line and EV9 GT-Line S variants offer up to 308 miles range per charge.

Based on Kia's E-GMP platform, every EV9 is capable of 800V charging which can deliver 10-80 per cent charge in 24 minutes at the fastest 350kW ultra-fast charge points.

Kia plans to launch 15 fully electric models globally by 2027, nine in the UK, as part of its Plan S strategy that was first announced in 2020.
