CITROEN has unveiled a new range topping version of the C5 X crossover called the Hypnos.

Named after the Greek god for sleep, the C5 X Hypnos is designed with comfort and well-being for occupants a priority.

It features a panoramic glass sunroof, a quality Hi-Fi system and special Hypnos floor mats all aimed at creating a tranquil feeling in the cabin.

There's also mood lighting at night and heated, massaging and ventilated front seats with electric lumbar adjustment to boost comfort.

The Hypnos is based on Citroen's plug-in hybrid 225 e-EAT8 powertrain and priced from £42,210.

Exterior touches include a special blue body colour that changes colour with the natural light and has badges that are highlighted with ‘infrared' detailing with a Hypnos signature at their centre.

At the rear, the C5 X monogram uses the same effect to highlight the number 5.

The car is also available in a grey finish and first deliveries are scheduled for early 2024.
