CHINESE electric vehicle maker GWM Ora is renaming its Funky Cat supermini the Ora 03 as part of a new brand strategy.

The car will be available in two trim levels - Pure+ and Pro+ - and will be priced from £31,995.

The longer range Pro+ model which can manage a claimed 260 miles on a full charge will cost from £34,995.

Pro+ versions of the Ora 03 also come with heated, cooled and massage front seats, heated steering-wheel, panoramic sunroof, powered gesture tailgate, rear privacy glass and advanced automatic parking assistance.

The Pure+ has wireless phone charging, facial recognition, electric front seats, app integration and ‘Hello ORA' intelligent voice assistance among its standard features.

The brand update comes has Ora has notched up 1,000 sales of the Funky Car in Britain since its launch in 2023.

GWM says it will be introducing other models in the coming months including a GT variant of the 03 and a new saloon, the Ora 07.
