SKODA has confirmed final UK pricing and specifications for its new Superb SportLine.
Positioned between the existing SE L and L&K models, the new SportLine model is priced from £42,290.
The new model is defined by gloss black detailing on the front grille surround, window frames and door mirrors.
Both bumpers feature gloss black inserts, with the estate version adding black roof rails to the design package. The hatch, meanwhile, features a gloss black strip on the tailgate diffuser.
Inside, the new Superb SportLine features the SportLine Design Selection as standard, along with new front sport seats which feature an integrated headrest, electric controls and manually adjustable seat length. Both front seats come with heating and massage function as standard.
The SportLine comes with a black headlining, three-spoke leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel and aluminium pedal covers. Fully adjustable ambient lighting is also included as standard.
The new SportLine model is offered with six different engine and transmission options.
The petrol line-up consists of a 1.5 TSI unit that develops 150ps and a 2.0 TSI that comes with two power output options: 204ps and 265ps.
All feature a seven-speed DSG gearbox as standard with the latter additionally offering 4x4 all-wheel drive.
The SportLine model is also available with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) drivetrain that combines a 1.5 TSI petrol engine with a 110kW electric motor and a six-speed DSG gearbox.
Powered by a 25.7kWh battery (19.7kWh usable) located at the rear of the estate version, the Superb SportLine iV has an all-electric driving range of 79 miles.
Diesel drivers can opt for a 2.0 TDI with outputs of 150ps and 193ps. Both are equipped with a seven-speed DSG gearbox as standard with the higher output engine also featuring 4x4.
he new model features a special sports chassis that delivers a 15mm reduction in ride height when compared to other models in the range.
Progressive steering, which delivers a more agile, dynamic feel at speed, is also fitted as standard to all SportLine models, along with DCC dynamic chassis control plus.
Estate models are priced from £43,590 and diesel variants start from £42,465.
In addition to the new SportLine model, the Superb range has been further expanded with the availability of a new 2.0 TSI engine option.
The new engine sits above the existing 1.5 TSI 150ps engine in the revised line-up and generates 204ps.
Equipped with a seven-speed DSG transmission as standard, the new engine can power the Superb from 0-62mph in 7.4 seconds.
The new engine is available on both SE L and Laurin and Klement trim grades with prices starting from £40,425 and £44,340 respectively.
