NISSAN is bringing forward the arrival of the latest addition to its electric vehicle line-up in the shape of a seven seat version of the e-NV200.

A seven-seat version of the van has long been part of the company's plans, to provide an electric vehicle that can move a larger number of people.

The e-NV200 Evalia is aimed at taxi fleets, shuttle services and large families, while for those with a more regular need to move cargo and an occasional need for seven seats, the Combi can also be specified with the larger seating capacity.

The seven seat version of the e-NV200 is configured with two seats in the front, three in the middle and two in the rear, and both the second and third rows can be folded for carrying extra luggage.

And Nissan says a huge cargo capacity - enough to transport three bicycles with the wheels in place - is opened up when the second row is rolled forward and the third row folds to the sides.

With all three rows in place, the luggage capacity is 443 litres under the tonneau cover, and up to 870 litres measured to the roof line.

The new model is available with a quick charging option allowing businesses or drivers to extend journeys or do multiple short journeys in a day with a quick top up.

It was joined at this week's Geneva Motor Show by a special edition of the Nissan LEAF with 17-inch wheels and extra kit based on the Acenta grade.

It gives customers two types of cable, enabling them to use charge points fitted with conventional domestic plugs or the faster type two charging stations.
